Abdominal pain after workout

    Hello.

I am 17 and this year I decided to get fit. I started working out arms, legs and abs yesterday, for 5 minutes each. Yesterday was fine, but today my abs remained sore even after the workout. I am just starting working out, and I only did it for 5 minutes each, 10 exercises at 30 seconds, but I am worried I have injured something. The pain isn't severe, but I can feel it all the time and it has remained throughout the day

Is this normal for someone beginning, or have I most likely torn something?

It's most likely normal. It may even feel worse tomorrow.

But it should ease off after that.

It happens when you work your muscles harder than they have been worked before/in a long time.

I want to believe you, but then why are my arms and legs not sore?

Not everything needs to be sore or equally sore.

Plus your arm and leg muscles get used more often in day-to-day life so it might not have been as big a shock to them to be woorking out.

I did the exercises first thing in the morning yesterday, and the same today. This morning I didn't feel any soreness until after I finished exercising, does this mean anything?

Most of you are saying it's normal, but I just want to make sure it is, in case I need to do something about it.

Yeah, it means you're possibly normal.

If the pain persists at a severe level without moderating for more than a couple of days you may have a problem. Or if your pee turns the colour of coca cola.

Otherwise stick at it and the DOMs Will lesson between each workout. And congrats for getting started.

Don't mind this if you're eating beetroot though. :p
