SEPA for DD Originator

    Hi there,
We worked hard for a long time to become a DD Originator, and made a decision not to go with Sentennial back then; we dont want to go with them now either. At present we put through less than 30 DDs per month.
We understood that Sage were bringing out SEPA ready accounts, which we were waiting for and which is being released next week, but Ive just learned that this will work on the payments side only for the time being, not on the receipts side (ie not for DD Origination). They say they are waiting for all banks to be SEPA ready, so Sage can be made compatible with all the bank's systems, before Sage can finalise the software.
We have our SEPA DD Mandate approved, have got all the IBANS and BICs for our clients etc, so we havent been sitting on our laurels.. As a small business though we cannot invest thousands in new software, nor can we go with a middle man like Sentennial. Nor can we go back to SO as the amounts vary each month.
Ive got different advice from both the SEPA team and from our branch. Please can you advise if there is a cheap and effective way of putting through DDs (we are happy to put in the manpower manually each month as its less than 30 transactions) until the Sage option is available.
    Many thanks
    Anna

    Hi AdeC,

We're sorry to hear you are having difficulties with this.

We passed your query on to our SEPA team and they have come back with the following response.

There are a number of other potential vendors in the marketplace, such as the below, who may be able to provide DD origination services to meet your needs:
    • Lir Software (Eazy EFT)
    • Volteneo
    • Ardbrook
    [*]

We hope this is adequate for you.

You actually don't need to be Sepa compliant at all until August, the deadline was pushed out from Feb 1st to August 1st. Celtrino have a solution for under 200 euro. Not sure how they compare to Sentenial , the best thing to do is wait since there may be more solutions in place over the next six months.
