Sure hasn't this kind of thing happened to the best of us?

A naked man has been rescued by firefighters after becoming stuck in a top-loading washing machine.

The unnamed man from Victoria, Australia told crews he had been planning to surprise his girlfriend when he became trapped, The Australian reported.

The 20-year-old was popped free of his confines after he was greased with olive oil.

Sergeant Michelle De Araugo told Shepparton News: “He was very well wedged in there and we were concerned for his health and wellbeing. It was just a game gone wrong.

“It would be fair to say the gentleman was very embarrassed.”

It was lucky the man was naked, said First Constable Ingram Luke.

He told ABC News: “I guess if he’s going to get into a washing machine it’s best if he has no clothes on to be about to get him out like that.

“I guess the clothes can provide a bit of resistance to try to get him out.

“My advice would be for people not to climb into appliances.”

They really should have warnings on such appliances so as to deter-gents from doing this in the future...

What kind of surprise was he intending giving his girlfriend? A naked person jumping out of my washing machine is about the least sexiest thing I can think of.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be a sexy surprise.
Maybe she thought he knew how to use the washing machine properly, and he was just proving he couldn't?

The idea that he was just trying to surprise his girlfriend is just the story he gave the emergency services... Could just as easily be a cover story for something even more embarrassing >_>

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.
