    Well folks,

Could anyone tell me what the best kettlebell instructor course in Ireland?

    A) Best course
    B) best value

Apart from the RKC course is there any course widely recognised in Ireland ?

    Thanks
    Jimmy

    StrongFirst

    There's nothing better.

Jay Kane is a StrongFirst L2 trainer and has instructed on the old RKC and new SFG course. He gave me my first intro to real KB lifting and it was a big turning point.

    +1 on Strongfirst

If you can't manage that .... RKC, WKC or Agatsu wouldn't be bad runner ups

Whatever you do ... please stay away from anything related to Reebok or ProTempo ... if I see one more person on that course been taught a kettlebell swing as some horrible hybrid version of a 'squat swing' , i will go on a rampage!

Cool is it possible to do the strong first or RKC in Ireland?

Does Jay do a course in Ireland?

Level 2 is Belfast this year, Level 1 taking place in Essex in May.

The LIA (now Elite Fitness Performance Academy) was a good cert to do (done by Jay as mentioned by Hanley) as it opens your eyes as to how it should be done. If you cant afford/get to the Strong First cert, FFi (kettlebells Ireland) do a fairly in depth course teaching the hardstyle methodology (which is the strongfirst philosophy) over 2 days. Not as good as the strong first cert, but definitely one of the better certifications in Ireland.

I'm confused by all this strong first lingo. Where is the best place to go if you're doing your first ever Kettlebells course? The one in Essex or Jay Kane's one in Blackrock? I'm not worried about costs. I just want to do the most comprehensive and world recognized qualification.
    Thanks.

You won't get much outta SFG, or pass it, without having done A LOT of KB training before.

Best bet is to find a good trainer, work with him or her for at least a few months, then THINK about SFG.

If you're in Dublin - see the boys in urbun fitness blackrock, if ashbourne is convenient - Stringer Fitness.

The EFPA course would also be a good first exposure to KBs.
