Wind breakers.

I have a shed that is exposed to the prevailing wind and rain. I need the space for lambing. There are gates with cladding on them and then there is a gap of around 5-6 ft.
I was thinking if getting the wind breakers. Can anyone who use them let me know how much rain do they let in. The shed is narrow only 16ft so the rain can come in a good bit as things stand.

Secondly any one got a rough estimate on cost. Got 2 quotes which I though were pricey but would be ok if they work.

Colm Warren supplied my polytunnel and I was concerned about the windbreaker letting in rain as it was an exposed site and I was just after taking down Galebreaker from a shed beside it a couple years before and replacing it with perforated corrugated sheeting.
Any way Colm told me that his windbreaker was 80% closed whereas the one I took down was 50% closed......The result is, despite all the wind and rain in the last week, no rain is coming in on my sheep.
If the stuff that you're pricing is the same as the one I took down........leave it where it is, it'll drown your sheep.
Colms business is called CWP Polytunnels

I presume your talking about the green net types. We dont have them on any sheds ourselves but from looking at places that have them, they seem to have a shelf life. A few of the places I've seen they're ripped in tatters.

I was in a calving shed with that vented side sheeting a while ago. Was well impressed with it. Wind was howling outside but in the shed there was no draughts or cold.
Yet the shed wasn't smelly or stuffy if ya get me. No idea on pricing but for me its miles ahead of the green net type.

I don't know the price, your 250 per bay probably includes a kit to pull it and clamp it to the pillars along its length....to me that's the important part, it has to be secured and tight,
What length are you looking for, if I didn't tell you about my old Galebreaker I could have sold you the 90ft I have here, it went up tight so it came down perfect.
Colm Warren Polytunnels phone no. is 046954007, you can talk to him yourself.

Yep unfortunately the sheeting wouldn't work. Use the shed all year round just use it for extra space for lambing so don't want to put up sheeting temperorily.
