Bus stop impeding entrance to house, any recourse?

Hypothetical scenario here, but say for example there was a bus stop outside my house and as people waited for the bus stop they blocked the entrance to the driveway in addition to passenger waiting in the driveway for the bus to come. Is there any recourse for getting the bus removed?

That is a nuisance and my aunt had the same problem. Every day she had to go out to gather up fag boxes, butts, coffee cups etc. thrown in her garden by people waiting for the bus.
She started by keeping a record of all the problem for a week including photographing the litter collected. She contacted Dublin Bus and after being fobbed off she just hassled every T.D. and Councillor in the area.
It took time but they did move the bus stop eventually.

It would be no harm setting up a CCTV device to monitor it, just as evidence that it's causing a real problem. There may be a legal avenue, but you would have to speak to a solicitor about that and in a case like this, it's going to be difficult to affect any real remedy to your satisfaction.

CCTV pointing out on to the public thoroughfare? Isn't that regarded as a problematic one?

Not at all. There's a myth that you need people's consent to record them but it's just that.

Sorry but how would a CCTV camera help? is it just to point out the obstruction?

    To document the issue.

Could ask the council to put a bin there, might alleviate the litter problem at least.

That actually made the issue worse. A bin was put in by Dublin Bus and people were dumping large black sacks. Bin was subsequently removed.

No. Most street furniture would be exempt, up to phone box / bus shelter size.

There are others rules and procedures about bus stops.

    Doesn't seem very hypothetical?

There are likely to be internal local authority and Garda rules. Obviously, they can't be placed too close to junctions (although some are) / pedestrian crossings or across entrances.
