Mirrors in harsh lighting

I avoid looking at mirrors in harsh lighting as seeing the legacy of the acne I suffered through as a teenager doesn't appeal to me. In normal lighting my skin looks perfect. Do you look in mirrors under harsh lighting?

better off looking at them in harsh lighting so you know that you look better in "reality" cos you've spruced up extra, i would've thought...

My hair is greyer and my stubble makes me look like a lumberjack

Yep, I use harsh lighting when doing my make up and trying on clothes so that I know I will look OK in more flattering light

Don't know, mirrors tend to crack if I try to see my reflection :(

My Granda used to shave with an open razor in a pool in the river.

He was a walking ad for Band-Aid.

There is nothing so agonizing to the fine skin of vanity as the application of a rough truth.

I live in an apartment with no light, so I always think I look passable as I can't see my face half of the time. Went home to Ireland and stood in my parents' bathroom with bright daylight shining in and looked in a mirror. All I could think was, "Noel Gallagher called; he wants his eyebrow back". Hideous.

I'm alright from the waist up, it's the bottom half I avoid looking at:(:o
