wondering if anyone has every tagged along with a Rapha cycle club ride? I will be in and out of San Francisco every few weeks for the next 6-9 months and was thinking of hooking up with them on their Saturdays rides and maybe even mid week ones as well. Just wondering if it is a drop in and joins us club or if membership is required. Hard to tell from the website.

Also wondering if anyone can recommend where to hire a road bike from in San Fran, I have found a few places online but a recommendation would be good. Plan is to buy a bike out there after I figure out a secure location for it when I am not there and then bring it back here when when finished in San Fran or ship it to the next city I will be in and out of.

    Thanks

I rented a bike from Blazing Saddles in San Fran when I was over last year. Good rates and a good selection from basic bikes to Specialized Roubaixs.

Think it's only their shop on Columbus Avenue that carry the high-end bikes - http://www.blazingsaddles.com/san-francisco/locations-/1095-columbus-avenue.aspx

Their rates are pretty good. Make sure you have a decent limit on your credit card though as the deposit for a Roubaix is a $1500 authorization on your card.

Was checking out Blazing saddles, rates are good, was also checking out Bike and Roll, the have a Trek Madone 5.9 with Di2 but it is $110/day, but as I was thinking of getting Di2 on my next bike I might do it on one of my trips there.

    Thanks
