    Have a eircom line/box in my apartemnt when i moved in,but how do i get the line number?

    It used be that you connect a phone and dial 199000, it should talk it back to you, not sure if it's still the same

    Most inactive lines will have a dial tone yo allow you to call the emergency services. If you dial the above number you should get the number of it. I presume you've tried looking on the socket to see if its written on it.

    If all else fails ring Eircom.
