Audi A5 light staying on

I have a 2009 A5 coupe. The problem I'm having is once every 2-3 weeks, when I turn the car off and get out, I get a "Lights are On" warning and associated beeping. The lights are usually on auto, but even when I turn the switch off, the warning remains.
When I check the lights one of the sidelights is latched on, and I've seen it happen on both sides, so its not isolated to one side. Starting the car and turning it off again doesn't work. But when I drive it for a few minutes the problem goes away. And strangely the only place I see the problem is the Tesco carpark.
    Anybody else seen this?

That's the parking light feature, comes on either side if the indicator lever is on.
All vws have had this since the 80s.
