Hi, I am looking for opinions on ACCA colleges part-time in Dublin for F7 & F9 in spring 2014.

    Has anyone done these courses?

I am not looking for negative comments on lectures but positive comments on courses/colleges/lectures in ACCA F7 & F9 Dublin.

    Thanks

You'd probably have more luck if you posted this in the accountancy forum. There are lots of ACCA students who use that forum so you should get some opinions.

DBS for F7, not for F9. You're better off doing F9 on your own.
Gerry in DBS is brilliant for F7, I got a great mark with him. His methods are flawless, his class is very exam focused - it's just questions questions questions constantly from start to finish.
I won't post my opinion on the F9 lecturer, i've made that clear here before.

I went to Dave O'Donoghue at Independent Colleges for F7 and F8 and found him excellent.
F9 is a bit tricky (for some anyway) I failed that subject

I did F7 & F9 in Dec 2013 with First Intuition on Baggot St

Same lecturer for the two subjects (Garrett Mulvin) and nice small classes (approx 12 in each)

Awaiting results obviously but I am confident I got both and found the lecturer very good.
He does P2 as well so I plan to go back to him for that

    Hope this helps

I thought F9 in DBS was quite good. F9 is a very big subject and it is quite challenging timewise and also to cover the whole area but I found it quite good. I personally didn't like Gerry (F7) in DBS but I did very well in the subject. I found him quite boring but his sample questions were bang on.
