    Hi guys,

Hoping someone can set me right.

On my home network I would like to assign certain ip(connections) to use a vpn while not on others,
I am a complete novice to this and want to know is it possible.

Some routers have a VPN feature, however you can set up a VPN connection secured by username and password (PPTP, IPSec vpn etc) on a Windows 7 and 8 pc. There is software that can do this also.

Have a look at the built in Windows VPN connection feature, and OpenVPN. If you use a pc for the VPN, obviously you will need to forward a port from your router and it must be turned on to allow users to VPN in.
