Torremolinos in Sept.

    Hi

We are looking to go to Torremolinos in September for either a week or ten days, all inclusive.

Just looking for recommendations for hotels? We were looking at booking the hotel/flights together, but then thought maybe they would be cheaper if booked separately, but then getting from Malaga Airport to our hotel in Torremolinos could be a pain as we have no clue of the local transport, etc. Would a taxi cost much?

The idea of booking them together is appealing as airport transfers are included but if it worked out cheaper including getting to/from the airport we would book separately.

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

Yeah, train runs every 15 to 20 mins or so. Very handy. We were there last Oct/ November and stayed in Hotel Cervantes. It was about 100m from train station in Torremolinos so handy for getting about. It was supposedly 4 star but in fairness, I would say it was more likely a three star. reception etc was lovely (new and modern) but the rooms were dated. However it was clean and we had a nice balcony so we were happy enough.
We paid about €300 for the room (no breakfast) for the week.

Thanks so much for your replies. I'm guessing as there's a train to/from the airport it'd be cheaper maybe to book the flight/accommodation separately and maybe get a taxi from the train station with our luggage.

    Was this the hotel?

I was looking at that one, it looks lovely, its near the beach too.

Also, would anyone have any recommendations for other areas in Spain to visit? My boyfriend now isn't sure if he would like to go to Torremolinos and has asked me to come up with a list of places and he'll look at them. :(
