have similar problem to other OP. My velux appears to have an open gap to which water is coming in and running across my internal ceiling.
Both windows have same issue. I sprayed water from a hose towards these gaps and the water came through.

IN recent weather it has become more noticeable and annoying.

I would have thought velux windows come "watertight" but they are not.

Can any one advise how to sort these obvious fault on these windows...

    See PICS...Thanks....

What is the angle of the roof?

Too low a pitch by a mile

Looking at the picture, it looks like the window is installed very low on the roof, which in turn creates a lesser upstand on the flashing, the tile also sits very flushing with the side flashing, which may be a sign of the sponge filler piece in the size flashing not present,
This combine with the over use of sealant would not allow the free draining of any water.
But the main problem I suspect is the very flat pitch of the roof to start, which both leading tile makers and velux both warn against....

How come you're posting about the same roof and velux that was discussed here?

I think this chap is merely comparing the two installations as being the same, and in turn pasted a photo to show the same type of structure,
though I did have to do a double take to realise myself......

It is the same structure though.
