They are saying ''3,000 jobs created a month'' and the economy seems to be recovering slowly but anywhere I look people seem to still be unemployed and still have very little money?

When will people see a real improvement in this economy?

You need to start looking elsewhere methinks.

Didn't you hear there's a property bubble starting again in Dublin, and over Xmas the shops seemed to be jam packed with shoppers. Well, where I was looking they were anyway.

take a peek. pay close attention to the euro sign bit, ie the wages being offered.

I'm serious, you need to see it, to understand.

it explains the 3000 "jobs" figure pretty well.

That's "3,000 jobs created in a month [not counting job losses]".

The economy is being held down by large amounts of private debt, and nothing has happened to resolve this, so we will not get onto the path of sustainable recovery until this is addressed - it's just more bubbles/busts until there are massive defaults.

The levels of debt in Western countries is currently at a 200 year high, and it can not be sustained:
"Debt burdens in developed nations have become extreme by any historical measure and will require a wave of haircuts, warns IMF paper"

You never notice when the economy is booming. It feels normal.
