Was looking at buying the following for the wife as a 'Sunday' bike for a spin around the park etc.

    http://www.halfords.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_11101_catalogId_15551_productId_992009_langId_-1_categoryId_212589

Price is reasonable for the casual use it will have - but wondering of there is still any discounts out there on Halfords??? Does the AXA still work??? Have a friend with AXA car insurance but he says that he got no card from them that I could borrow!! He did offer me his Insurance disk though which I heard might work!!

Anyone got an internet link that I can print off?????

PS...any comments on my choice of bike???

I would go second hand if that were my budget, you'll get a lot more bike for your money. Those apollo bikes are built to an extremely tight budget, not to last. They often end up costing you money in the long run on replacement parts and maintenance that could have better been spent on the initial bike.

    Hi Darkglasses....

Appreciate that sentiment but at €114 (after discount) - I would find it hard to beat the price especially as it is more a 'Sunday' bike!

Have been watching local bike rental shops and they talking €250 for a Scott that has been out on rental since April. Whilst it will be serviced - it has seen better days and looks well thrashed. As to Done Deal / Adverts.ie - I have watched same and have seen nothing that catches my eye.

At least if new - I have 1x year guarantee. I know my way around bikes a bit and so can work on repairs myself etc.

Just my 2 cents... am no expert let me stress!!!
