Sorry, the link I had was a comparison page on Halfords. I've updated the links as 3 different links.

    Thanks for looking.

Just basic leisurely cycling on roads/grass , nothing major..

Only a few times a week I'll be on it, just need something basic but decent for now. How is your bike? Do you have it long? Any issues?

    I have it a year.
It's grand, no problems with it.
The only thing I find is for the road the front suspension is a bit soft.

The first one on the list isn't a bad bike. The bigger wheels will make it better on the road over the other two, If Halfords is where you're set to make the buy. Could me worth having a look at what the likes of Giant or Trek have at the same level.

Cheers for the reply. Believe me Giant or Trek would be nice to have, but unfortunately budget dictates and I can't get either of them bikes for under 500euro really, about 350 is my budget.

When I was looking last year I used guides like these to see what I could be getting for the money.

Carrera come out pretty solid in the sub 500 bracket so hopefully that'll give you some comfort in terms of ones you're looking at above.

The bike to work scheme might be of use in terms alleviating some of the cost.

    Thanks for that.

The first and third models are pretty similar. The second appears a bit lower on spec. I'd probably go with the first as its the newer model and with the bigger sized wheels compared with the older model. All the other kit is similar.

Carrera always seem to do well in reviews so should be a good brand to go for.
