Cork airport- Emergency last night

Anyone else hear anything more about this? Aer lingus regional en route to Cork from Manchester declared an emergency before the approach into Cork airport. Just seen a bit on twitter about it (with pictures of emergency vehicles on standby) but didn't get the whole story. All ended ok anyway thank god.

I heard on frequency a fire marshall (I assume) talking to Ground about the Aer Arann who had "just said a problem with their windscreen" and that they (fire) would stand down if it diverted to Shannon.

my mate was up there, Fire service, HSE Ambulances, Mallow River Rescue, East Cork River Rescue, doctors and gardai all there!

Apparently it had to make 3 attempts at landing and a Salt build up on the window apart from high winds was the problem
