Earlier today i was in a super market car park, putting my bags in the boot. The car parked beside me was backing out and backed right into the side of another car that was parked behind,i looked up when I heard the bang, and to my astonishment the passenger (husband i guess) i could make out saying 'just keep going' while avoiding all eye contact with me! So they just drove off. Luckily i got the reg and make etc, waited for the owner of the car to come out and gave him the details. He was very grateful but it got me thinking what others would have done,i know i would have wanted someone to do the same for me.

I just could not believe they just drove off and left a massive dent and scratch on the car.

So what would you have done in my situation??

Id have dashed to the nearest phone booth and changed into my outfit, then leapt a tall building in a single bound to follow the miscreants, capture them just as they thought they had gotten away with their crime and then brought them to justice..........either that or exactly the same as you tbh

I'd have done the same, or more likely left a note under the windscreen wiper for the owner of the damaged car. I'd like to think most people would do what you did but I'm sure plenty of people would avoid 'interfering'.

Do "what would you do?"threads always involve motor vehicles?

Get out, inspect the damage and write a note as followes:
Dir Sir/Madam, very sorry i bumbed into your car but the people in the car beside me saw everything so i just thought id leave you this note to make it LOOK LIKE im leaving my details. Sorry again. Mr Bloggs :-)

AH, well done, some of ye should really be comedians!

Report it to the cops now! that's all you can do.

I saw a total and utter f*cking scumbag karate kick a rear windscreen a few weeks ago and completely shatter it. I called the cops and actually knew where that scumbag was after going to. After 20 minutes, the guards made an appearance. I walked them to that guys front door and walked away. The guards came and took my details and the scumbag put his hands up and said his "granddad would pay for the damages". It turned out the car that was damaged was actually belonging to a neighbour and I only found that out a few days ago.

That girl would have had to go to her car and see the rear windscreen in sh*ite on a Monday morning, and not have not known anything about it. Its just decency to do what you can do, regardless.

Chase them and try to run them off the nearest cliff road.
