    Flintoff? Mercury?

Looks nice, but is it still a separate GPS unit, or is that a foot pod he's using outdoors?

May as well be Freddie Kreuger to non-triathletes :p

He's using a footpod alright. Absolutely no information on it at all until the 6th. Connections seem to be all BTLE and tons of speculation about ANT+ (but I don't expect that myself).

Separate GPS is also fine leaves 6 months battery on my RCX5 and loads of hours on rechargeable GPS pod.

Mods, sorry for this but if you can shift this into Gear & Equipment please I would appreciate it.

(It's also possible that it will be kicked all the way to the light / dark side altogether)

Just like the Suunto Ambit2, Garmin Fenix/Tactix, however, in 1 second mode the battery is only good for 13 hours. I don't think any athlete is likely to use it in low power GPS mode, unless they're out hiking (particularly for triathletes, where availability of data seems to be paramount).

Just reading DC Rainmaker's first look, it has a number of interesting offerings, that aren't available in other multi-sport watches, so should be a solid competitor in this space, but for a runner, much of the functionality is offered in the 620 (like Vo2max estimation, recovery advisor, mobile connectivity, GPS pre-caching etc). So if the cycling/swimming stuff works out (not fully available yet), it could be a viable alternative to the 910xt, however, for a runner, the 620 might be a cheaper/better alternative.
