What was my father talking about re entitlements

    My dad called me yesterday and I'm wondering what he was talking about.

    I own (inherited last year) a farm with SFP. I have it rented out along with the SFP. When filling in the forms I put that it was rented for 3 years.

    My dad said there was a big article in the farmers journal about the entitlements and new rules and I might have to sell them. I was feeding the baby and couldn't really ask dad too much and I wanted to read the article myself anyway.

    DH bought the journal on the way home but we couldn't see anything.

    Any ideas what my father was on about?

    its there on page 47,sorry i dont know how to link to .it but it seems the decisions on whether you will have to sell or not will depend on what simon coveney does in the new year

    I must have the wrong copy of the journal - my page 47 is about vet call out charges.
    So no decision has been made yet? Must get the right copy off Dad today.

    Are the entitlements yours or the person renting the land ?
    You might be aswell to check everything out with an ag advisor that could tell you exactly where you stand .

    sorry about that i was reading it online it was on the page where they show the oil and cereal prices.It is usually inside the back page
