    Hi,

Looking for a bit of assistance. Looking to purchase a Nest Box camera for my father. He bought one recently in ALDI/LIDL but it was defective and had to be brought back. He has numerous feeders in the garden and is really keen to setup a nest-box.

Any recommendations on what model to get? Would rather invest in a decent model that he will get the use out of. Had a quick search on the internet (Birdwatchcameras.com and birdwatchireland.ie) and there are various options there. Any advice/tips on what I should be looking for would be greatly appreciated.

This crowd make good quality nest boxes:

Avoid wireless models, they have too many associated problems. Make sure you order a long enough cable to site your box in the best place. If you're any good at DIY you can build your own and buy the electronics on fleabay. Don't be disappointed if nothing uses it first time around. We had to wait 3 years before a pair of Robins used one of ours.
