Assuming you are starting racing the elites you have are more than adequate for a4...they'd be about the standard for the bunch.

I moved to equpies from standard bontrager wheels and straight away noticed the difference. A few Mts back I upgraded to SLSs which is just one step above the elites and agiain noticed a marked difference. I am kinda sorry I did go for SLRs but they came at a higher cost. I guess it all comes down to what you want out if a wheel. I do a lot of hills and charity spins so the SL was perfect. So really for me it came down to a highend alum. or a started carbon clincher. Don't know if this helps, maybe food for thought. Planet X seem To have good offers on carbons at the moment.

i,m looking at the cosmic carbon clincher compared to planet x wheels which are lot heavier than cosmics, or there,s a few sets of Dura ace floating around,
Again i want to go better than elites....

Cosmic 40Cs are €1600, which is €1000 outside your budget.

At 600 quid you need to define what you mean by "better", as you'll have to make some compromises.

RRP on your current wheels, the Ksyrium Elite, is around €600, so like Lumen, I'm a bit confused about what you're looking for.

The SLS are super IMO I considered the cosmic carbon clincher, around 1k If I remember correctly, but they were a lot heavier. I am currently looking at shimano rs80 as I am on a tight budge, I want them for time trails and blasts where the speed is 38plus. I dont want the hassle or expense of tubs and changing of blocks so Carbon clinchers are what I am researching. As I say the rs80(plus Planet X) are inside my budget and I guess yours too at under 600

Thanks lads am just gonna save a bit more and opt for the cosmic carbone, they have great reviews and few lads in local club have both sets and sware by the cosmic.

Im In the same position as you with the elites at the moment and looking to upgrade.

The cosmics is yhe one's I had in mind too, however for me it was look of the cosmics which was swaying me, but I don't know if there a big change from the elites as I do the sportives and climb a bit too.

When you get the comics I would love to hear what you think of them.

Good luck with the saving ;-)

I have an unused set of 2012 Mavic Krysium Elites. Would these be okay for club racing and fast training rides with the club which I hope to regularly do this year? Might dip into A4 racing for the 1st time aswell

Some Cosmics a lot cheaper if you snap them up before the sale ends!
