Good for him, always thought he was well able for the job when he was on spin.

Hopefully he'll be better on radio than he was on The Voice. Although to be fair I mostly blame that for being a horrific RTE version of a pretty horrific programme format.

used to listen to him on xfm in London when I lived there. really enjoyed him so could be a good move. hopefully isn't drivetime because id prefer Dermot and dave on 98fm. sometime between 10 and 3 would be good

In what no doubt will be construed as yet another snub to Limerick by the national meeja by the hyper-sensitive locals, it seems the new 2FM boss wants to be able to look his talent in the eye when he's laying down the law.

It's also a great blow to half solicitor/half Dee Jay types everywhere.

It'll be the end of a golden era for Jocks who are well versed in family law.

Expect Lyric FM to follow back to Atha Cliath, followed by another emotional and stormy meeting by the embattled luvvies, academics and arts administrators of Shannonside.

It did say he was going to be on to talk about his new 2fm show but rte later edited the story, very strange. http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2057116967

    This is the truth.

There is no gig in place. There was never an offer. My buddy works with him on TV projects. The whole thing generated within RTE and
was accidentally placed into a press release.

If it actually happens, the very best of luck to him.
