I get "Server not found" when trying to view RTE News or player.

    I'm on UPC

Appears to have gone from eircom's DNS Servers.

The IP address 89.207.56.140 does not appear to work entered when entered directly.

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

    nslookup www.rte.ie
    Server: 8.8.8.8
    Address: 8.8.8.8#53

    Non-authoritative answer:
    Name: www.rte.ie
    Address: 89.207.56.140

Might take a while to propagate I guess.

It's pinging fine on VF broadband. You've got some kind of routing problem.

Maybe localised routing issue? - I'm in Wicklow

    Not just you.
There seems to be an issue with the content delivery network (nsatc.net)

They messed up the record while updating, it was changed and fixed but the ttl was a little high so took a while to update unless dns cache was cleared

I can access it fine. Try changing your DNS server and try again. Chances are the DNS record change hasn't propagated across the internet. This could potentially take up to 48 hours to refresh from when the records were changed.

I done a ipconfig /flushdns thingy and it worked but rte.ie still not working how might I change my dns server (no worries if hard to explain)

Its set somewhere along the lines of: Networks and Connections > Adapter Settings > IP/TCP IPv4 > Use Custom DNS servers > Set to Google's DNS (8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4).

The above is for Windows Vista/7/8. Its similar for other operating systems.

I tried something using a 192. address I found on the net, it failed so I went back to auto. This morning its working again though.

Will try that again if it happens again thanks but think cause I'm on a mobile connection it would not work.
