Elan/perrigo

Although my doormat has been heaving the last few months with documents from élan, I have fairly stuck my head in the sand.

Received my cash consideration cheque on Tuesday and my share stmt for Perrigo

Am I right in thinking I can sell my Perrigo shares now through compushare and they'll deduct .5% or a minimum of €50?

What are others doing?

Am i correct in saying Elan is now delisted from stock exchange
so are all share certs from ELan Null and Void?
and secondly do we own a number of smaller shares in perrigo

My understanding was that there was a pay out along with some shares offered in Perrigo. I can't remember the proportion. Might have been 1 in 4 or something along those lines.

I sold out myself at €11.85/€11.90 back last October, delighted with my ROI.

Edit: I was wrong it was 1 elan share = 0.07636 Perrigo shares. So not even 1 in 10

Sorry, you're also correct. Elan was delisted from the ISE.

Hi All,

I had some old Elan shares and I have the certs (they weren't held by a broker). I recently received a tax letter from Perigo with Form 1099-B outlining the sales proceeds and withheld US tax but I haven't received a cheque? Does anyone know how I go about getting paid and can the US tax be claimed???

As far as I know capital gains tax will be payable here, tax paid in the us can be offset against this
