    Hi all,

Just wondering does anyone know a number I can contact to request a blue ray activation disc in order to update my ps4 to access DVD playback...

I don't have an internet connection so can't update that way and the 1.50 update you can download off the ps website doesn't cover DVD playback, I also rang ps customer care on 0818365065 but no answer,

    Any help would be great,

    Cheers

If you get a usb and someone with the Internet you could download the 1.52 update onto the usp then install it onto your ps4

I have already updated via usb but it doesn't cover the DVD/blueray playback, it still requests an internet connection.

I have read through various websites that ps4 customers that do not have internet access can request a blue ray activation disc and it can be send out via mail, but I have only seen this stated in relation to U.S customers and have not seen a European/Ireland customer care phone number

Are you sure that internet connection cannot be bypassed?

I thought it was only needed if you wanted info as you were watching the film(imdb stuff).

If you've the PS4 already updated then do you have a phone that would work as a hotspot, it'll cost a bit (not much as it's only activating) but it's better than waiting for the disc from Sony.
