Well kiddos how are we all doing? I'm hoping for a good old helping hand in my PC

1. What is your budget? [€600-700] Hopefully, if more its cool. I'll manage. xx

2. What will be the main purpose of the computer? [Gaming/Internet] Games along the lines of Dayz, Arma 3. Bf4 (not looking for Crysis 2 @60fps ultra) Wouldnt mind Bf4 @50fps medium.

3. Do you need a copy of Windows? [Probably yes]

4. Can you use any parts from an old computer? [No sadly]

5. Do you need a monitor? [Maybe] I do have a 32" smart Tv :O LED LG TV

6. Do you need any of these peripherals? [I need a Keyboard]

7. Are you willing to try overclocking? [No]

8. How can you pay? [Bank Transfer/Credit Card/Laser]

9. When are you purchasing? [No time]

10. If you need help building it, where are you based? [Nurp]

Haven't kept up with this scene much in the last few years.

Is a Core i5 at nearly 200 euro really needed in a budget bill?

It's almost 30% of Timmy's budget.

Is it not better to go for a lower cpu ( AMD maybe ) and get a better graphics card like GTX 760?

Otherwise looks a brillant build.

It could be a bit overkill to be fair, an i3 would probably do just fine! I was kind of thinking of his overall build being balanced for everyday use as much as anything. If I was really being serious I might suggest getting the i3 but rather than upgrading the gpu (nothing wrong with the lovely 7870 atm), add in the 120gb Samsung EVO SSD to improve the overall pc experience!

Yes it is a budget build but I like it.
nothing wrong with AMD but most would rather Intel. Just how it is.

If it was a strict budget I'd say go AMD. but he did say if it is more "It's cool he will manage".. So can add the extra 50 for the gtx760. And was drunk making his request so might not even want it on sober reflection.

Nono I Will still want it. I was gonna make the thread sober but Drunk Timmy got there first. Too hungover to review the build atm but I will give it a going over tomorrow<3 you guise

Not as much value in the FX-6300 if you aren't interested in overclocking, so you may be better of with an i5 build, however might as well throw one up for the red team :P.

Imo I'd scale the 280x to a 270. The AMD processor would bottleneck out the GPU in DayZ and BF4. The 270x still goes beyond 60fps on ultra beyond 1080p on BF4.

If going with that and build it would realistically be an 8350 though. The Intelbbuildis sstilltthe preference for most non clockers!

Bear in mind Timmy that we're all pretty much over shooting the mark here haha. Yousaid hhappy with medium settings, we've aimed slightly higher than that!

Good points above, I didn't read the list of games originally but they are all CPU loving multiplayer games so R9 270x or GTX 760 with an intel is probably the better option especially as you won't be overclocking.

Either way as slksht says you'll be well north of medium settings

So I'm liking the look of both. But as a nub, you'll have to walk me through the pros and cons of each (Obviously I can see the 2nd one is cheaper, we'll mark that as a pro) :pac:
