    Hi Guys,

Anybody able to recommend some stage races worth doing in 2014?

I did Charleville last year and enjoyed it more that a typical 1 stage race.
Would like to focus my season around racing some of the better stage races, I'm gonna be racing A3 but feel free to recommend for any category.

    Many Thanks,
    Brian

Wexford 2 day for sure, I can't believe anybody had a bad word to say about it.

Would be interested in doing something like this in preparation for an event I am doing later in the year. Do people do these on their own or as part of a team?

You can do it on your own. I think that some races give preference to teams.

A lot of good suggestions above. For the A4s I thought Tour of Omagh was spectacularly professional and tuff

    That's not a stage race, it's a Kermesse.

Gorey 3-day, Ballinrobe 2 Day, Newry 3-Day are restricted to B- and accept individuals. For a bit more eliteness aim at Tour of the North, Tour of Ulster, Ras Mumhainn.

If you're getting serious, you'll need to train as part of a club team as the more elite events don't accept individuals.

Newry 3 day prefer teams as opposed to individuals. Suir Valley 3 Day is up there with the best and toughest apparently.
