Thai Training Camps

Ok so as the title suggest I am looking for some input into Thai training camps.

I am looking to travel to Thailand later this year to improve my Muay-Thai for 6 weeks. I am looking to bring my wife & two kids (1 year & 5 months) so accommodation will need to be half decent with amenities close by.

So in other words I am wondering what prices & what camps have people had good experiences with. I will be the only one training.

I have looked into such camps as Horizon. Seems great but pricey. So I would like to hear other points of view to compare it to and maybe find other options.

    Cheers

    SS

Only trained in Bangkok myself, not the sort of place I'd recommend you bring kids as most of the entertainment seems more geared toward adults.

Heard great things Sitmonchai gym (about 100km from Bangkok), visited the area but not the gym, beautiful countryside, elephant rides, temples etc all very close, not to mention the gym itself producing some top class fighters.

Well away from the islands and madness though.

Yeah I would not be looking to go into the city, thanks for the reply. I'll give the gym a look now.

    The area sounds perfect though.

Your missus and kids will get bored sitmonchai. I actually had my 18 month old in Bangkok for over a month this summer and he loved it. Lots to do but my missus is well used to Bangkok and has some friends there so it's easier.

We also went to Yodyut Muay Thai in koh Samui. its a brand new gym beside a beautiful Beach. Trainers are all top quality and loads for your missus and kids to do. Couldn't recommend the place enough.

Sumalee gym on Phuket would also be a good shout. Good accomadation, swimming pool etc and away from the bar girls.

Thanks lionheart...will give them a look.

Sumalee does look very nice indeed. Expensive compared to what I have been looking at though...
