musicians for online recording

mods, not sure if this is better here or in the songwriting forum, feel free to move as required...


im looking to see if there are any other musicians, singers etc that would be interested in trying to write and record some songs via email. eg email each other with ideas, get a core of a song together and then everyone records their own piece.


im a bass player and would love to do some original stuff but don't have a lot of time to get out and jam etc. anyone interested should have a DAW of some description at least. PM me if interested

Doesn't seem to be much movement on this and I'm thinking of putting a side project together so had an idea....

My side project would be to work with a singer who comes to me with a melody/vocal line that I then write the music to (most likely it will be guitar).

so, in short:
1) Singer comes in with a vocal melody.
2) I put some music/chords behind it.

Then:
Split A) Singer and I would do open mics and whatnot with the tunes as our own thing.

Split From the pool of people on this thread:

1) have the vocals and guitar (or chords) for the song made available to everyone.
2) bass, drums, lead, keyboards etc are done by people online
3) All the recorded tracks (vocals, guitar, bass, drum, lead, keys etc) are then made available to all involved to make their own mix if they want.

Does that seem feasible or of interest?

Sorry I haven't had a minute this week but I'll definitely put up something soon in the next few days. It will be an acoustic track with most likely intro, verse, verse, chorus, verse chorus , bridge, chorus, outro. Will probabaly sound strange without a vocal track though so bear that in mind. Who will be putting the vox on?

Hey if it helps, I have a few lyrics I came up with that need music, you can find them on my soundcloud page (just look for the songs that say original) the lyrics should be there and I sang them to a basic kind of tune but making tunes isn't my strong point so if you wanted to work on any of them just let me know. I have another one half written too, I must work on it again. Ps. If you're not interested in any of mine, that's no problem, no offence will be taken.
