After spending the day fixing some of the things needed to pass the NCT, I have just realised that I have to replace the anti roll bar bushes too :(.
I put in new anti roll bar links today and thought I was finished on that part until I read the fail sheet just now.
Its an astra g (99) I hope its not a matter of dropping the sub frame because I'm working outside with axel stands.
Any tips or tricks of the trade would be great lads, its an old car that I have for 12 years she owes me nothing so I will spend the time working to fix her up but she is past spending much money on.
    Thanks OAP

Get an old timing belt and cut a piece off that will wrap around your ARB, cut a small section out of the join on the ARB bushing to allow for the bigger diameter (usually 5-6mm works) and wrap the timing belt around the bar and stick the Bush on over the belt, then retighten.
Works very well and lasts as long or longer than new bushings in my experience.

Thanks for all the answers lads, I got done all I could today, replaced the coil springs on the back because one was broken and adjusted the head lights.
I had no luck with that bush though I can not take out the bolt on the right of it no matter which direction or angle I try from.
I have some pics up of what I'm talking about posted and I hope ye can see my problem. I dropped the wishbone out to see if I could open it from the bottom but its threaded into the chassis and if you can see from the pics absolutely no chance of fitting a ring spanner or socket from the top.
It needs a new brake line on the other side anyway, I was hoping to sand down and clean up the old one put its way past that. I do not have the tools to do this so I will bring it to my mechanic Monday and see how he goes about taking out that bush while he is at it (he has a lift and better at these things :()
