Bought one of these a year or so ago and have no complaints. Did not come with the power adapter but it is not required anyway.

Auto switch works well and have never actually needed to use the remote.

what have ye been using it for? without the power adapter will it split the SKy+Hd output and send to a room about 15m away?

Have had a Wii U, Apple TV & Android stick hooked up to it.

All are beside the tv & connected with either 1m or 2m cables to the box so unsure whether it will definitely work for what you need.

Its only a switcher and it cannot "split" the signal despite it saying splitter in the title.

Bought something similar from amazon, no remote , just a switch on the item itself.

have a few of them around the house now, amazing little devices

But have you tried the remote to see if it works?

I got an auto-switch version but it won't work properly because my UPC Horizon box is always "on"

Yep, it definitely does work but none of the things I have connected up would be constantly turned on so just haven't needed it.

I had the same problem with the cheap (€1!) switchers Tesco were selling recently. The Apple TV and WDTV I have connected to it never really turn themselves off.
