So, i wanted to sell items on ebay for a profit (new items not used) however im not sure if i have to pay vat and register as a business. I looked around and found that the threshold for goods is €75,000 and for "Distance sales" its €35,000. Does that mean i can sell goods without registering as a business if i dont go over that threshold. Or do i have to register as a business anyways. Also , Would ebay sales count as "Goods" or "Distance sales".

Are you in the business of selling as a trade or incidental sales?

Well, to be more specific.I am thinking of getting a company like Pcb cart to manufacture a batch of PCBs which i designed. Then get annother company to assamble them and I`ll sell the whole batch on ebay

You are therefore referring to business transaction and the normal rules of registration etc etc applies.

Don't think it is appropriate to provide specific or professional advice here.....you appear to allude to the necessary elements in your original post.
