The pressures of third level study drove him to these acts he claimed.
This is almost Hannibal Lecter territory and surely there is an amount of insanity involved here, how could any sane person commit such an horrific crime?
But it is one of the few times i agree wholeheartedly with a death penalty. Anyone think the guy deserves a stay in a mental institution and clemency?

Dark stuff. Mentally ill or not, draconian Chinese law means not much hope of leniency. The thread title also made me think of someone trying to ride a spring roll...

I don't understand how he had their bodies shipped back home! Is it that easy and why did he not kill them at home. Article doesn't say a lot about the nuts and bolts of the affair.

A pretty nasty story - I just feel really sorry towards people who have attractions like that. It's a lose-lose situation really, and acting it out is out of the question.

But that's the problem, acting it out isn't! out of the question. This is one case we've heard of, but I'm wondering if it's like drug seizures? For what the authorities catch, 10-20 times more gets through. Is this just scratching the surface of ultra murderous/deviant behavior. Scary stuff imo

There are whole subsections of the internet dedicated to this stuff but 99% of people have no intentions of bringing it any further. Really bad this happened, it's not the first and won't be the last though.
