Cylinder thermostat

    Hello

    First post!

Is anyone familiar with the caem combi hot water tank thermostat?

The house we moved to over the summer has one fitted to the tank, set up to activate a Honeywell motorised valve on the supply feed from the boiler.

The problem is it seems to operate the wrong way around! - opens the valve when the water in the tank is hot and closes it as it cools down. I finally got some time today to check the wiring, and it's as I thought - the thermostat completes the circuit to the valve when the water temperature is above the level set on the stat, rather than below as it should be.

Does anyone who knows agree this sounds wrong way around? - is there a way of reversing the operation of the tank stat?

    Thanks

    Damian

The stat should brake the supply when it reaches the set temp.
To reverse the wiring on the stat it's as simple as moving a wire.
When you look at the stat you have live in and live out so its just a case of moving the live out to the other free terminal

Nice one Robbie, I took the stat off the tank, moved the wire as you suggested and now it's working properly - thanks a million for your help!
