    A quick thank you to boards .ie and its readers for permitting postings from various cycling clubs all around Ireland. Thank you to Boards .ie for providing the forum to stimulate conversation, get feedback, provide information, share ideas and start the conversations on all matters irish cycling related.

    For organisers, the forum provided a very valuable outlet for information regarding regarding topics and upcoming events.

    Boards.ie cycling has a significant and substantial audience, and this has been proven time and time again over the course of 2013.

    The great thing about this forum in my mind is its variety - I realise some think we get a bit to into the racing stuff on occasions, but that only tends to dominate during the Tour de France and one or two other big events (I'm sure the 2014 Giro will be getting some special treatment)

    However I do think there is something for everyone in this forum, and its variety along with a large pool of great and knowledgeable posters is its strength

    I've never raced an inch on a bike in my life and at 46 I don't intend starting now but the advice, information and at times entertainment I have received on this site for almost the last 7 years has been immense. For me the bottom line is-look at the thread title, if it's not for me skip it an move to the next one!
