What would be the best gym for a beginner in around Dublin city center, luas line etc that is reasonably priced. I don't want one that's packed. I was looking at Phibsboro gym which seems to be a nice small gym.

What's your price range? I'd consider myself a beginner, to a degree, and I've loved being a member in Raw. Once you cop on and realise no one is watching every kittle thing you do,you just need to find a gym that suits your needs.

I like Flyefit. Never been that busy when I'm there.

Ha thats what I'm afraid, ill let weights from bench fall on me or fall over doing a squat. How much is an instructor for that gym

Not sure what the going rate is but I'm sure it's in the region of €60 a pop. But I don't know here who's good to go to but COH is. Don't ever be self conscious about what you can or can't do...there's no one that was born able to lift weights. Everyone's started somewhere

I've been unable to finish a rep on the bench about 3-4 times and nobody says anything, i've had lads come over and help lift it off to then offer a spot if I need one, they'll be more appreciative of the fact you're there busting your ass off then laughing at you. Only dickheads laugh at you in the gym.

    this +million.

Really, noone notices what other people are doing in the gym unless its comically bad.

and if someone laughing at you for just working out then they are in a serious mental deficit.

OP the flye fit gyms are ok, the one near the docks is waaay better than the one in ranelagh tho. Ive a friend who trains there.

Given the choice I would go there or raw.

spend a few quid on a trainer to show you the basic lifts and youre good to go.
