Anyone built one and have a list or was anyone able to get one sorted from anywhere in Ireland? Just a basic bar to be put in/on the ground/grass out the back garden, thanks

Odin gym equipment (on Facebook) can make ya one. There's also a bloke in Arklow (I think) on adverts who does bars you can fix to the wall. You'd have to galvanise it for outdoors though, which Odin do. A mate of mine built his own pull up bar out of wood in his garden, good job. I'll be doing the same myself shortly. The wood is cheap enough, dig 1 meter deep, cement, treat the wood and a steel bar on the top. Job done.

yeah great details on how to do it here https://www.fitstream.com/articles/how-to-make-an-outdoor-pull-up-bar-a176 but i'm not the greatest DIY man! Anyone an idea on how much that would cost, or any one with the skills fancy doing a nixer?? :)

I'm getting 4 posts. Bolting 2 together each side to make sure it's thick enough. It's cheap and already treated. The DIY stuff is fairly straight forward. Time consuming is all.

Rather than digging big holes and mixing cement I'd be thinking about some sort of frame (eg for a swing) that would sit on the grass and be secured with tent spikes

    Have you see this thread?

I'd prefer not to have to dig but I haven't come across anything that would be sturdy enough without digging. I would be swinging out of mine on rings, muscle ups, weighted pull ups so it would have to take a good bit of weight. I assume swing sets or scaffolding would still require sore form of digging?

Came across this online. Looks easy enough to make.
