    Hi

Im looking for something i can use to make a little model of our daughters hands and feet, Either them set into a plate type of thing or something i can use to make little 3d hand and feet prints and mount them to a plate/plaque

I had thought of modeling clay but have no access to a kiln to dry anything. Would anyone have any suggestions ?

    Many Thanks

You can buy plaster casting kits like this.http://www.ebay.com/itm/INFANT-PLASTER-CASTING-KIT-Baby-Footprint-Hand-Print-Statue-BabyPrints-Mold-Cast-/300987201941 or if you wanted to make up your own try these http://cregalart.net/casting-mould-making-c-1_15_128.html or some of the other craft shops.

Mamas and Papas as in mothercare ? They do a day every month or so where you can get it done but it starts at 150+ so its a bit pricey plus id enjoy a crack at doing it myself!

No - it's a separate shop, linky here - it's the ones at the bottom I was thinking of.

you could do what I did this year for xmas I made some of my own xmas decorations... I made up a batch of salt dough and pressed the feet into the cut out shape let it air dry for a few days and then you have a lovely keepsake. I used the baking soda and corn flour salt dough recipe from this site. it turned out great it even seams to sparkle

you can cut out a thick piece with a cookie cutter and press the hand/foot into it and then when they are dry you can give them as gifts to grandparents/godparents etc.

and if you have an older child hand them the cookie cutters too and let them have some fun. my kids loved doing this before xmas
