Freehub Damage

I have a set of Campagnolo Khamsin (Shimano Freehub) and I seem to have the damaged the rim of the freehub so the lockring is coming loose.

I was wondering if it's possible to repair this and if so how much would it cost? or would I be better off picking up a new rear wheel.

Can you post a picture if what is damaged. It sounds like it might be the threads on the freehub for the locking.

Perhaps these could be retreaded. If not, you can just replace the freehub - it is the 12mm version - so no need to replace the wheel.

Part of the threads has broken off with that piece. It might be fine to use or might not - the locking is supposed to be tightened to about 50nm - a reckon if you try that more of the free hub will break off.

If it were me I'd just replace the freehub; it's a very easy thing to do and all you will need are 5mm Allen keys and a spanner.

Thanks for the feedback so far - will any shimano freehub do? or will the wheel require a specific like this http://www.slanecycles.com/campagnolo-freehub-body-for-shimano-8910spd-p-3130.html

It will require a specific freehub. It is the (shimano specific) one for lower end campagnolo and fulcrum wheels such as the campag vento, scirocco and others and fulcrum 7 and 5 models. These are 12 mm axle hubs as opposed to 17 mm.

The link below is what you want:
