Ps3-ps4 game upgrade

I know this has probably been asked a 100 times so sorry for the repost.

I bought ghosts for the ps3 but my gf surprised me with a ps4 on Christmas morning. How exactly do you go about with upgrading the game to the ps4 version?

Was there a piece of paper in the box with a redeemable code in it?

Make sure you get the E10 upgrade as it is possible to buy the game for E70 - and it is non-refundable.

Yea I have the piece of paper but haven't entered it in yet. But for some reason the €10 upgrade is "unavailable" on the store, will this be unlocked when I enter in the code?

Enter your code on the PS3 and then when you are on the PS4 store you will see the option to buy the PS4 version for €9.99.

Put the game into the PS4, it might give you the option then.

It may even have been that you have to play it on the PS3 in the first place(I don't know).

input the code in store through your ps4 and a popup will open right away allowing you to upgrade for x amount, or at least thats how it worked for me with bf4

Edit, i never had the disk in my ps3(dont need it in console to upgrade) just bought it and upgraded right away

Anyone complete the upgrade process with Ghosts?
I have managed to purchase and download the game (taking almost 15 hours) and now facing a further five hours to install (I presume download) content for multiplayer. Will I have a similar wait for campaign and squads?

Multiplayer finished downloading and then game playable (campaign also working).

Can I buy Assassins Creed 4 for PS3 in any shop and will it have an upgrade code?

AC4 seems to be sold out everywhere around Dublin for PS4.

AS far as I know you can do it, When I bought ghosts for the ps3 it had a blue sticker on the front which said you can do the upgrade. I seen this sticker on the battlefield 4 cover aswell so keep an eye out for it on the AC4 cover

Thanks. Been looking in shops and I've yet to see the sticker on any of the upgradable games so didn't risk it just in case!

It was easier to get a PS4 without a pre-order than it is to get AC4 in a shop. Don't want the digital copy for €70 its a rip off.

I bought ac4 on the store during 12 days of Xmas sale. I upgraded the to ps4 version for 9:99 without a problem.

Think I got my ps4 the day after it was on sale. Would've bought it at the time but I didn't know I was gonna be getting a ps4 so soon!
