Prince Charlies is Dead.

    My nextdoor neighbour's cocker spaniel who's name was Prince Charlies just had an over ambitious encounter with a City Link bus on the Athlone Road.

    There'll be bits of his brain spread across the landscape of South Roscommon now, (might increase the collective IQ of the area).

    Poor wee sod.

    He was named after a local war hero called Charlie who once ran into a burning orphanage and saved the lives of 76 little children, a pregnant nun and celebrity chef.

    RIP Prince Charlies
