This fairly recent trend of deliberately shitty movies is kind of dumb. The whole charm of a bad movie is that the people involved were trying to make an honest decent film. Films like Miami Connection, Kottontale, anything by Len Kabasinski, R.O.T.O.R, so on, are funny in their stilted incompetence. They tried to make a kick ass, great movie, full of things that they find awesome (Karate, boobs, gunfights and robots, respectively). They're funny because people say stupid things honestly, and they're very much within budget, but stretching for the stars. It's endearing. Making a deliberately bad film doesn't work because they replace the charm with Adobe AE presets, and the script is full of call backs to other, actually good movies instead of saying dumb things that everyone thought was brilliant at the time. When in doubt. throw Hitler into the mix for guaranteed laughs, or something.

To be clear, I'm not classing The Asylum in this. They're cash-ins (Although, so is R.O.T.O.R, I guess).

I know it's a one year necro but for those not part of the Kickstarter (shame on you! :P ) they have set the release date to March this year and it will then be available for free on youtube so look forward to the best movie of the year coming to a local computer soon!

Part of me thought this was the title of the Kung Pow sequel. While it looks great, I cannot pretend not to be disappointed!

Watch it like you would any other movie - on your TV. It surpasses all expectations, they better have sequels!

This isn't even the full thing, it's a test they made to sell to the big companies hoping they get a budget for a full feature movie.

This is some absolutely fantastic stuff.

Really? I was wondering why it was so short. I thought the trailer they released last year to raise funds on Kickstarter was the test. They also got funding and help from the Swedish film industry apparently. It'd be a shame if they don't get funding for a full length feature after the reaction this got, there's already a cult following attached to this now. I'd love to see something like this in the cinema!
