Go to Juniors for either breakfast, dinner or desert. You won't be disappointed. Not too expensive and really good! :) Its just at Times Square beside the Marriot hotel. Go to Top of the Rock for the view. Take the Staten Island ferry for a cheap view of the Statue of Liberty. Get a subway ticket and ask for a map! SOHO is a good area for shopping and your right beside little Italy and Chinatown.

Four days is not a lot for NYC so make the most of each day.

taxi from Newark is 80 dollars!

Over a million people congregate in the Times Sq area for the New Years Eve ball drop. That's an awful lot of people. You won't see a thing unless you are willing to get there incredibly early. If you are with a gang of people, you are all hammered, and you are into standing around waiting on things for hours, enjoying all the atmosphere and build up can be a lot of fun. But if its your first time in NY, I'd give it a miss. It's one of those things that look fabulous on TV, but when you are actually there, it is a lot of hard work.
