Have it already; nice piece of kit; left it on one night woke in the morning raging that I'd prob drained the battery; lo and behold it must've went into sleep mode after inactivity!buying another as a present

Yep check out the thread I posted about the cheap led torch; pretty much identical to deal extreme but you are better rewarded with tmart points which give you money off next order; so I prefer them at the moment

    any issues with customs ????

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,830 ✭✭✭irishproduce

Loads of items but these ones I have ordered specifically due to value

    4 X AA Rechargable Batteries - €4.20
    http://www.tmart.com/4Pcs-UltraFire-1.2V-3500mAh-Ni-MH-rechareable-Batteries_p144685.html

I bought an energiser battery charger earlier on amazon.
Would those batteries be trustworthy or likely to disappoint - any experience?

I've never been stung anyway; they always put low values on the items

Dunno; bought Chinese before and they were on par with anything else; as for these ones specifically I'll tell you in a month :)

bought few small items from there few months back , items never arrived, had to pen paypal dispute to get money back as their customer service is nightmare. just sharing my experience.

My experience is excellent with tmart, only ordered 2 things, both arrived well packaged in well under 3 weeks which is about a month better than DX in my recent dealings! Always going to be a bit iffy ordering from China though as previous post suggests.

Personally I wouldnt buy any of those batteries. Whatever about the button cell type (most of those are fine in fairness) I wouldnt touch the AA or AAA type.

    Great experience with them!

I ordered from them before Christmas and everything arrived on time, you have to give them 3 weeks for delivery, sometimes stuff comes before the 3 weeks but it will come eventually within the 3 weeks. Deal Extreme are another similar site worth checking out and I have had good experiences with them before also.

Ordered from them in November, from a link on BA. Have yet to receive three quarters of my order, tracking details given do not work, emails don't make any sense. I would not use them again. Only blessing is, they are so cheap that I didn't lose much.

2 Rechargeable batteries for 1.49 in deals.

No idea why someone would go all the way to China for a battery. :D

I really doubt those cheap looking batteries are what they say they are.

Maplins have a near constant sale on rechargables - I've bought the 2400mAh batteries for xboxes - and very pleased with them - in an Xbox - they last a very long time - weeks.

    Currently
    2000mAh £12.99 for 12 batteries
    or
2400mAh £12.99 for 8 batteries (noticably slightly heavier batteries)

Noticeable downside is the Positive is a little shorter than regular AA batteries and can be a bit fiddly to fit so into some devices - but I think this is normal with rechargeable batteries.

Similar here except I paid extra selecting the UK warehouse option. They then decided to ship from China anyway and their "support" is useless and barely understands English. Currently dealing with Paypal to get a refund.

    I can check tomorrow anyway

Always have lots in stock instore (but only half price every second month or so)

    - I use the charger from Aldi they sell them often- its an intelligent thing - about a tenner I think - it discharges the batteries before charging them - so you get a longer run out of the battery charge - and lets you know if a battery is gone past charging anymore (happens unfortunately if you leave them discharged in a some forgotten camera or whatever too long)

    - also have a cool charger that actually recharges Alkaline (non-rechargeable) batteries - Duracell etc - Manufactured by Saitek - worth looking out for if you use a lot of batteries.

2 Rechargeable batteries for 1.49 in deals.

I saw those - but they very low in capacity unfortunately - something like 800mAh.

Wouldn't power much for any length of time - they use these low capacity batteries in garden solar lights where they only need glow one led bulb for a few hours.

Sorry this is slightly OT but when the spec for tablets says it supports a TF card is that a micro sd card like this one for example or even the one going cheap in some Tescos stores today as seen in the pic here?

Yep, same card, just a different name for it. Trans Flash is same thing as micro sd card.

Batteries are almost half that price again if you order from the American warehouse. €4.20 vs €2.64 - Ordered 4 lots, thanks <3

Buuutt - they are FAKE - complete junk - you may not even be able charge them once.

AFAIK There is no such thing as 3500mAh AA batteries - if you look closely you will see the label is more like 350.0 mAh batteries.

Tested here (appear to be about 350mAh):

Yeah, gotta be careful with the likes of batteries. 3500mAh does sound a bit miraculous for AA batteries. No doubt tmart and DX have great stuff on it, you just have to be careful and remind yourself how they're making a tidy profit despite the slashed prices.

Bah, win some lose some, lesson learnt. Was expecting half the capacity, 1/10 is abysmal though :)

Got some other things anyway, will see in a few weeks I guess.

Thanks for the heads up :)

What's the rough delivery time for items, a month? My stuff shipped around New Years Eve.

A month or so in my case. But in fairness others got the flashlight a bit faster. Allow up to 6 weeks at the outset before contacting for a refund.
