Where to go to get a bit of sun at Easter??

I want to take the missus away for 4 or 5 days at Easter next year for a bit of sun. Am I right in thinking that the Canaries are probably the only place where you would be sure to get nice sunny weather in late April? I was thinking of Majorca as it was a bit cheaper but I heard that it could be a bit hit and miss at that time of year. I was looking at Malta also but there are nt many flights and they´re a bit out of my budget anyway.
Looking for a bit of advice on where to go and maybe a few suggestions. Budget is 300 to 350 euro per person for flights and hotel.

Thanks for your suggestions but Florida and the Carribean are out as I´m on a bit of a budget. Can´t really afford much more than 300 or 350 euro for flights and hotel per person.

they have never let me down, during the month of january it has sunshine, the only downside is the carriers know this and ajust their prices accordingly, i got a newsletter from cheapflights.co.uk offering sun flights from gatwick for £30 one way, another good company is zoo travel.

Algarve is usually good in late April. Not too expensive. Myself and my mates go there every year in April for a weeks golf holiday. The weather has always been good, not scorching hot but very pleasant and sunny. There are good packages available.

Ryanair + travelrepublic for accommodation (Jan sale on the way or already started). Canaries all the way.

As an alternative (although not beach) i went to Madrid a few years ago in mid April and the weather was gorgeous - perfect blue skies, warm sunny weather. If you want a bit more of a city break it might be something to think about. There are some great day trips from Madrid too.

You will do well to get somewhere sunny for that budget at Easter when the kids are off prices treble

OP if you're budgeting €6-700 - 8th-15th April flights to Puerto Rico in Gran Canaria are €167 each on Ryanair. You'll get a decent enough apartment for the week with the remainder on any of the hotel sites.

That's the week before Easter bet it doubles Easter week

Thanks guys. I got sorted. 5 nights in Lanzarote flights and hotel for 2 people. 620 euro for the lot.
