    Did you stick to energiser batteries or can you use third party batteries?
    I bought an extra set of these but wouldn't mind knowing if I can use other brands in it

    Camel Camel shows the average price over the last 3 years as £19.41 and its been less than £20 for most of the last year so its not really a bargain.

    I did a little research into rechargable aa batteries recently and while i bought sanyo eneloop xx batteries at almost €15 for 4, the best value for money are ikea ladda.
    They are €5 for a pack of four. They are about 2100mah and they are low self discharge ie they retain their power while sitting unused.
    Top tip.
