New build problem

Hey guys put my new build together last night, went to turn it on, it was getting power, all fans would turn on then immediately turn off, then it would be trying that again and again on it's own until I take away the power completely.
Wasn't going to go troubleshooting it last night so this morning I have now completely disassembled it and put it back together but outside of the case this time, the exact same thing is happening.

    it's a mini itx build:

    Case: Cooler Master Elite 120
    PSU: Corsair CX430M
    Mobo: Gigabyte H87N-WIFI
    CPU: i5 4670k
    RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600
    GFX: 7850
    1 SSD 1 HDD 1 DVDRW

Really the only things I've tried is it without the GFX card completely and also as above just completely rebuilding it from scratch no luck so far, any help would be appreciated.

I had the same issue with my PSU a few months ago, turned out to me a Non Haswell ready PSU ( EVGA confirmed this), 2nd one my suppler sent me did the same and EVGA confirmed again it wasn't Haswell ready, 3rd one worked ok.
1st 2 worked on other PC's just not with the 4670k.

Have you tried a different PSU? Also try and hold down your power button just after you turn it on, mine worked most of the time that way until the replacement came.

dont have another psu that I can try at the moment, apparently the CX430m is haswell ready, putting it back together now to try the button pressing like you were saying, fingers crossed.

Is the 4pin atx power connected to the mobo?

Try to see if it behaves any differently with the stick of ram not being used.

    Also try clear the cmos.

Did you try and power up w/o the GPU + hard drives connected?

4 pin is attached, 24 pin rail is attached (although I thought this was the issue at first as the latch isn't catching, but it's as in as in can be), front panel stuff is all hooked up.

Just trying the ram separately using the 2 ram slots, no luck.

Will give clearing the CMOS a go in a bit.

The fact that all the fans start going, CPU, PSU and case fans, for all of a bout 2 seconds before it turns itself off is it most likely a power issue?

Yep haven't had the GPU in at all for the last hour or so.

Really sounds exactly the same as the issue I had, new PSU sorted that out.

When you try holding down the power button try holding it down just after the fans fail to fully power up and then at different stages.
When I spoke to my supplier about the Haswell issue they said it was compatible, only when I emailed EVGA we realised it was an older model(using the same product number).

If it does turn out to be the PSU and you need to buy a new one I know someone who's selling a brand new Corsair CX750M PSU, he only used it for a week and bought a Gold EVGA one from me, I think he'd take €80 for it, he paid €100 for it in Maplins. Fingers X'd though it's an easy fix.
