I'd a moderate sized turkey dinner with no dessert. I don't really go in for the whole gorging thing just because it's Christmas.

Im weird with food though, I don't like chocolate or anything sweet. So I suppose Christmas isn't designed for people like me. Also if I'm drinking I don't tend to really feel like food.

Normally I'd just go for the gorge, it's a once a year thing, stuff is all there for the taking. This year I've been a bit more moderate, early yet though...

I put the ham in the shed wrapped in newspaper on Cristmas eve. Come Christmas morning , I burst open my windows and shout "You there! What day is today? " Then I run downstairs, outside and shout up "Why today is Christmas day!"

I fetch the ham from the shed and pretend I live in ye olde times for the rest of day. Neighbours think I'm mad but f*ck 'em.

I've worked on losing weight recently, but the in-laws seem to think I'm starving myself (they're of the opinion that plump=well fed=healthy) and spent the day feeling monitored so I ate more than I enjoyed. But it kept them happy, and more importantly, quiet, about my weight, and I didn't hate the food, so I'll just get back to my own plan tomorrow.

Don't like Christmas dinner and I never eat big meals really before like 6, so I had little appetite for dinner when it was served at 3. I had some sweets alright but I probably consumed less than I would in a normal day.

I'm just after finishing my second sandwich. Around 8 I had brown pat the baker sliced pan, real butter, a tiny slather of gravy, turkey, cherry tomatoes, a crispy rasher the mother had draped over the turkey as it cooked, rocket, and a tiny amount of white cheddar. It was very tasty. 2nd sandwich was the same bread, real butter, a generous lash of gravy this time, turkey, another crispy rasher and some stuffing. Round two was far nicer. Both sandwiches were better than the dinner itself.

Edit: to answer the question in the op. those were the only things I ate so don't think I overdid it hugely!

    Same as any other day,
Possible had a bit more chocolate in place of real food than I normally would.(but then again, possibly not, I'm a sucker for chocolate)

I was asked to use the smaller dinner plates like the rest of the family because apparently the amount of Christmas dinner I put on the big plate is disgusting. My rationale is that while I dish up myself a large plate of grub I eat it at a non disgusting speed while my brother dishes himself a smaller plate and goes for second helpings instead. The problem is that he shovels it down his gob at a rate of knots. When munching, his eyes roll back into his skull like a Great White Sharks. If I don't get in their first by dishing myself up a large plate to begin with it'll be all gone by the time I am ready for second helpings.

However this year, I acquiesced to the mothers wishes and used the smaller dinner plate........and piled it 6 inches high!! :D:D
